After a long three months of shutdown, schools are gradually reopening and helping students getting back on the study track. But what will the education look like when the current public health crisis is over? How will the overseas admission to higher education be affected? Are your kids ready for the changes?

AmCham South China is pleased to have Mr. Kevin Baker, Director of American International School of Guangzhou (AISG) to share his views on the expectation of next semesters, the future of education and the most concerned questions bear in our minds. Under his excellent leadership and school management, AISG has done an excellent job during the shutdown period and sets a role model in the international community.

    Kevin Baker has been appointed as Director of the American International School of Guangzhou starting from school year 2019-2020. Kevin has over 30 years of experience in education and has worked at Hong Kong International School, Seoul Foreign School, and has been Head of School at several independent schools in the United States prior to joining International School of Busan (formerly Busan International Foreign School), where he is currently Head of School. Kevin has a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Concordia University Nebraska, a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Washington State University, and is completing his Doctorate degree in Human Capital Management. In his free time Kevin enjoys his family, presenting, reading, grilling, golfing, and supporting the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
    Kevin Baker 于2019-2020 学年起担任广州美国人国际学校校长。他拥有超过30 年的教育经验,曾就任于香港国际学校和首尔国际学校,在担任釜山国际学校校长之前,他曾任美国多所学校的校长。
